After the first round of the bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, where Lee (13-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC) started strong with a punch and a header, she returned to her corner and sat on stools. Kelly, the UFC bantamweight who is scheduled to fight Adrian Yanez on June 18, made a controversial statement to his athletes.

“That’s what they’re going to do – they’re filthy Brazilians,” Kelly told me. “They’re going to cheat like that.”

Araujo (11-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) is back at Securing a unanimous decision wins, including round 10-8 unbalanced. She couldn’t respond after the behind-the-scenes win because she moved to a local hospital and didn’t speak to the media after the fight.
