Global Times on India: Nepal, India is encroaching on land… Global Times says India is encroaching on Nepal territory Sher Bahadur Duba should be alert

Beijing: China is notorious for asserting rights over other people’s land around the world. Because of this, there are border disputes with every neighboring country except Russia, Mongolia and China. Now the same China is inciting neighboring Nepal against India. The Global Times, which is known as the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of China, has said that India is gradually encroaching on Nepalese land. On the other hand, it is a fact that China has forcibly occupied many kilometers of land inside Nepal and has made many permanent constructions. Apart from this, the Chinese army has also uprooted many border posts on the Nepalese border. A panel of Nepal’s Home Ministry has accepted that its land is occupied by China. The committee submitted its report to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in October last year.

China is very angry at India-US military exercises
India continues to take new steps on the border, Global Times said in its editorial. From October 14 to 31, India and the US will hold annual exercises at Auli in the state of Uttarakhand. The Global Times alleged that India deliberately decided to conduct the exercise 100 km away from the Line of Actual Control. India also began another 24-day exercise Vajra Shakti with the US in Himachal Pradesh on August 8. The article alleges that India has decided to conduct military exercises in the region along with the US to target China.

They said that India has occupied Nepalese land in Kalabani
The Global Times falsely claimed in its article that India was facing difficulties in its attempts to intrude into Chinese territory near the AAC. For this reason, it has turned to other neighboring countries to strengthen its control and encroachment on third country borders. In recent years, New Delhi has also tried to capture the Kalabani region, the meeting point of China, India and Nepal, citing Nepal, which has drawn strong opposition from the Nepali side. The Kalabani area, near the China-India-Nepal border, is a traditionally disputed area between India and Nepal.

It reminded me of the incident with the controversial Nepal map
Global Times, playing with facts, said in May 2020 that India had challenged the status quo in LAC. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the road constructed at Kala Bani in a bid to spark a civil war between India and Nepal. In November 2019 Chinese media reported that India included Kalabani in its map, in response Nepal released its new political map in May 2020 and declared Kalabani, Libulek and Limbiathura as part of it.

Sher Bahadur is India’s closest to Tuba
In the article, the Chinese Communist Party also targeted the Nepali media and said it was silent on India’s move. Not only this, Global Times also declared Nepali Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Duba as pro-Indian. It said this was the reason why the Duba government was trying to avoid a conflict with India. China tried to annex Nepal using the example of Sikkim state. He said that in 1962, the Indian Army had come and stayed there on the pretext of protecting Sikkim.

Nepal itself has admitted – China has occupied our land
Last year, Nepal’s Ministry of Home Affairs had stated in its report that China had invaded Nepal’s Hamla region. Joint Secretary Jai Narayan Acharya, who is associated with the committee, has identified problems in pillars 4 to 13, the Kathmandu Post reported. In the report, experts emphasized the importance of including border issues in Nepal’s government policy and their lasting solutions.
