Ian weakened to a tropical storm, and it still hits Florida

Sunday night’s NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be played as scheduled at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

In the wake of Hurricane Ian, the hacker released a statement Thursday confirming that the game was not being moved from Florida.

“Our thoughts and prayers remain with the thousands in southwest Florida who have been severely affected by Hurricane Ian. We are deeply grateful that the Tampa Bay area has survived the most damaging consequences of this powerful storm,” the statement read.

“We have informed the NFL, after consulting with local and state agencies, that we are ready to play Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium as originally scheduled.

The match is scheduled to begin at 8:20 p.m. ET.

“We would like to thank all of the local government agencies and the thousands of emergency personnel who have worked tirelessly over the past few days to ensure that our area will be ready to respond if needed. We would also like to thank the Miami Dolphins for their assistance and hospitality in allowing us to use their training facilities this week “.

The Bucs expressed their appreciation to those who were helping the cause after Hurricane Ian.

“We also want to express our sincere appreciation to the first responders and emergency personnel who are already fighting the elements, saving lives, and helping our neighbors in those hardest-hit areas of our south,” they said.

On Wednesday, NFL Executive Vice President Jeff Miller said that if the game needs a relocation, the United States Bank Stadium in Minneapolis will host an emergency site.
