  • For this, Imran insisted on heels, but Bajwa was on his orders.

Army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa has dealt a major blow to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is already planning to play in Pakistan’s upcoming general election. Imran Khan wanted Lieutenant General Faiz Ahmed, the head of ISI, the country’s most famous spy agency, to continue in his post. For this, Imran Khan insisted on heels, but now Imran Khan has to bow to the tough stance of his ‘boss’ General Bajwa. It is said that Imran Khan may soon announce the appointment of Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum as the new head of ISI.

Pakistani media have quoted credible sources as saying that Lieutenant General Anjum Khan will sign the appointment notice without further escalating tensions. Sources said, ‘Imran Khan now wants to save his face and may sign on to replace Faiz Hamid by November 15.’ The Pakistani military, on the other hand, has told Imran’s keynote speakers Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Fawad Sadri that the recruitment date is October 21 to October 25, 2021.

Meanwhile, the army commander is said to have instructed Lieutenant General Nadeem to take charge as the head of the ISI. Not only this, the army chief has now made that tradition a rule, under which an officer must be a commander of the army for one year. Earlier, during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Army Commander General Bajwa was severely ridiculed. He had made it clear that Imran Khan had no right to interfere in the internal affairs of the military.

Earlier, Imran Khan had also violated an order from Army Commander Qamar Javed Bajwa to retain the ISI leader who had given him power. Imran Khan wanted Faiz Hamid to continue in his post till December but Bajwa made it clear that it was not possible. Bajwa made it clear to Imran Khan that he had a good relationship with Faiz but could not keep him with him forever. According to Pakistani media, Imran Khan’s ‘colleague’ wife Pushra Begum has advised Lieutenant General Nadeem that it is not good for him. That is why Imran was saved.
