Israeli President Isaac Herzog is the first Israeli President to visit the United Arab Emirates. He arrived in the United Arab Emirates on a two-day trip. During his official visit on Monday, he visited the Sheikh Saeed Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in the country in Abu Dhabi. He was accompanied by his wife, Michael Herzog.
According to WAM, the official news agency of the United Arab Emirates, the president was accompanied by the UAE’s ambassador to Israel Mohammed al – Gaza, Israel’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Amir Hayek and several senior Israeli officials.
Dr. Youssef Al Obaidli, Director General of the Sheikh Saeed Grand Mosque, visited the halls and outer corridors of the mosque for the Israeli President and other delegations.

During the visit, Sheikh Saeed explained to the President the great message of the Great Mosque by one of the experts on the cultural tour of the mosque. These messages underscore the notion of coexistence, tolerance and openness in the rich heritage of the late UAE founder.
They were also told about the history of the mosque and the aesthetic aspects of Islamic art and architecture that are reflected in every corner of this magnificent mosque. The architecture of the mosque reflects the unity between different cultures and conveys the message of uniting the world through art.
During the visit, two prominent publications of the mosque were presented to the Israeli President. The first prize was named after a picture – light spaces. This picture is the best picture selected in the photo award organized annually by the mosque.
The second prize was the book ‘House of God’ presented to the President. The book mentions all the places of worship in Islamic history. The book also contains information about the Great Mosque of Sheikh Saeed.
