Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a five-day European tour, attended the second day of the G20 summit on Saturday. These vaccines will be given not only to Indians but all over the world. Meanwhile, world leaders agreed to increase vaccine production for poor countries.
However, Prime Minister Modi sought the help of the G20 countries to get approval from the WHO for the emergency use of Kovac, the Indian Govt-19 vaccine. The vaccine is manufactured by Indian company Bharat Biotech. Modi said New Delhi could achieve the target of developing 5 billion vaccines after getting approval from the World Health Organization (WHO).

Important meeting with Macron
Modi’s meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron is considered very significant. The ‘Awkus’ affair was also discussed between the two last month. However, this conversation happened over the phone. There was a lot of tension between the United States, Britain and Australia over the submarine deal and its impact is directly visible somewhere in AUKUS. However, talks between Joe Biden and Macron are currently underway and the matter is expected to ease.
