After the first half of “Sunday Night Football,” the Kansas City Chiefs had a 28-17 lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Chiefs got things started quickly, finding Patrick Mahomes Travis Kelce for 16 yards after Rachaad White flopped in the opener. He later added another touchdown pass to Clyde Edwards Heller, in a play Should have seen to believe. Kansas City also scored two goals on the ground, as CEH took Jerick McKinnon’s read-option handover for a 3-yard score early, and a tight finish Noah Gray made a surprising 1 yard offside late in the second quarter after the Chiefs were set in a good field position by Case My L’Jarius Sneed tape.
Tampa’s offense didn’t get all that much for most of the inning, save for one drive where Tom Brady found Mike Evans for several big plays, including the team’s first touchdown. The Bucs’ second lead came in their final drive of the half, as Brady converted several touchdowns for the third and eventually found Evans again – this time on a fade from the 1-yard line after Cameron Pratt led the team to the goal line by withdrawing a pass foul penalty.
Will the Chiefs stick around and get back into the winning column, or will the Bucs come back in the second half? We’ll find out soon enough. In the meantime, keep it closed to our live blog throughout the rest of the evening as we update you with stats, scores and features.
