National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval on Wednesday held consultations with NSAs from seven countries on the Afghanistan crisis. The meeting took place in Delhi. The seven countries in which the NSA will participate in the meeting include Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The NSA Dialogue called for joint cooperation against the threat of terrorism, extremism, separatism and drug trafficking in the region related to Afghanistan. The dialogue emphasized the need to create an open and truly inclusive government that represents the will and community of all the people of Afghanistan. NSAs from seven countries who attended the meeting stressed the importance of ensuring that the fundamental rights of women, children and minority communities are not violated. He also underscored the need for immediate humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan. At the same time, everyone reaffirmed their commitment to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to provide assistance to Afghanistan.
