In a speech to the Japanese parliament on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky said he had received reports that Russia was preparing to attack Ukraine with deadly chemical weapons such as sarin. How the world would react if nuclear weapons were used should now be discussed around the world.
Sarin is a highly toxic synthetic organophosphorus compound. It is a colorless and odorless liquid. Due to its immense power, it is used as a chemical weapon.
The Japanese people are well aware of the sarin, as it was used by members of a cult that killed 13 people and wounded thousands in a 1995 attack on the Tokyo subway system, ”Zhelensky added.
The President of Ukraine also pointed out a dangerous situation near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, where Russian shelling ignited. The site of the plant is now in the hands of Russian troops.
Zhelensky has been creating a wind of support for himself since the Russian invasion, which has led him to deliver virtual speeches in the homes of other G-7 major industrialized nations, including Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. On Sunday, Zhelensky also addressed the Israeli parliament. In his address to the US Congress last week, he compared the Russian invasion to the 1941 Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and the 9/11 attacks by al-Qaeda terrorists.
At the same time, Zhelensky addressed the French parliament today. He called on French companies to leave Russia. President Zhelensky has imposed severe sanctions on Russia and is isolating the occupying country.
